45 Minutes

We do this thing where we pack in every single thing possible into an afternoon. We went to our Engaged Encounter that morning, visited a friend's house for a party, and had a very, very small window before Tim's gig that evening.

The glorious spring day was calling our names, so we spread a packing blanket, broke out the pistachios, and sat down for about 3 minutes before we realized the ground was pretty well soaked.

But it worked. Here's to the 45-minute recharge.

:-) He's top notch.

Help Found

I love taking photos. Every time I've sat down to my computer over the past six weeks, I look at my desktop and let my cursor hover over my memory card folder, contemplating whether I can put off to-do's. Alas, each time I've decided instead to spend time in what has become my best friend, a little file affectionately entitled "Master Plan.xls".

But blessings abound! While there are many to-do's, family and friends have been unbelievably helpful, allowing for moments adorned with coffee, cookies and beautiful sunsets in the evenings.

One of the most fun projects of wedding planning thus far has been the invites. We had a small assembly party that was altogether a blast, despite the fact that it felt a tiny bit like a sweatshop towards cutting the 215th glittery piece of twine. (Seriously. I find myself having "I get by with a little help from my friends..." in my head 95% of the time.) Pics to come...

Pour. Wait. Pour. Wait.

Last weekend we went to @onelinecoffee, where serving a good cup of coffee is an art. So many little details go into each step that goes into making each cup. Dampen. Grind. Measure. Pour. Wait. Pour. Wait. Pour. Wait.

It was a good lesson in how waiting makes us ready for the best parts of life.

Wedding countdown (this time, it's my wedding we're anticipating: 88 days.)

Fruit & OJ

It was Rebekah who first introduced me to the wide world of blogging. She would pull me over to her screen to scroll through piles of entries from Blue Lily and Nie Nie and Design Mom. She was the only girl the BHHS class of 07 who spent her Friday nights looking at Mom Blogs.

As a result, we found our tiny pathway into many big dreams in those candid shots of families and travels and adventures in homemaking.

Today my fiancé and I had brunch with Rebekah and her husband in their new apartment. The dreams are becoming real...
