I had the pleasure of shooting some photos at RevLocal, where I used to work before Edith was born. It was, without a doubt, one of the most treasured chapters of my life, but not because I loved working in the confines of a cubicle. It was because I met some of the most talented, down-to-earth (midwestern?) creatives I've encountered yet, and they're all relationships I still have the joy of keeping up. They wanted to capture some snapshots of what it's like to work there, and these handful of pics give a little glimpse.

Angela, her sister, my sister and I had a band when we were in middle school. It was a band, and not a band. It didn't involve music and mostly entailed us jumping on the trampoline for hours. Since then, hours of letter writing, phone conversations and impromptu highway exit coffee meetings between cities have kept us close enough that now our little girls will call one another friends, too. Enough about us, though. This is Angela's daughter Emma Lu. Let's focus on her squish factor: it is second to none. How thankful am I for this friendship that is overflowing into the next generation!
Enjoy!

How much curly, red-haired cuteness can you fit into one photo? I feel like we broke a record with these photos. This family is a special one to me! They were one of the first ever who I photographed and each time I've done it since, I enjoy it more! Thank you Jon and Kate!

When we were little, we would have dance parties while doing the dishes. It was like the grand finale of the day, a time to squeeze those last little bursts of joy into the almost-finished evening. It was often then that my dad would sneak a kiss from my mom. We'd all cover our eyes and scrunch up our noses in embarrassment, giggling because we really loved to see them show such raw affection for one another.
I saw that same affection many a time while shooting Kevin and Kelsey's wedding. I'd peak from behind the camera only to see them sneaking kisses and letting all that love show for the world to see. It was wedded joy at its finest, and it made photo-taking easier than ever! All hands in for wedding day kiss-sneaking :-)

Today is 28 days until election day! To celebrate, here's something to look at that doesn't have anything to do with politics.
This day was so much fun for Tim and I. I think this bridal party made us laugh more than any yet. Once again, we found ourselves feeling fortunate to be able to peek into lives of people as good as these!
